Free Test Case Study #1 - Soles4Souls

Soles4Souls is a non-profit social enterprise whose mission is to create sustainable jobs and provide relief through the distribution of shoes and clothing around the world.

 

Soles4Souls strives to be the best possible stewards of the financial resources they’ve been given to manage.


Accordingly, they were actively searching for the best way to fully leverage their donor data when deciding which donors to send direct mail fundraising appeals.

 

S4S took advantage of the free test mailing and the results were outstanding.


By letting the AI take over, 3,011 additional donors were mailed resulting in $9,265.30 in additional contributions from the free test mailing that would not have come in without the AI.


The AI also found that S4S was mailing 4,253 donors that were not recommended.  While it cost $3,232.28 to mail those donors, they only contributed $678.65 resulting in a huge loss for the organization.


By leveraging AI to decide which donors to mail, S4S saw a 110% increase in net funds raised, more than doubling the direct mail programs ROI and fulfilling their commitment to good financial stewardship.
